Accountability Plan Guidelines

Facts

  1. The Accountability Plan articulates the goals the school will use to measure its success.
  2. The Accountability Plan is submitted by August 1 after a school’s first year in operation OR at the time of renewal     application (for schools entering the second term of their charter).
  3. The Accountability Plan becomes part of the schools “charter.”
  4. Progress toward Accountability Plan goals is assessed:
    • in the schools Annual Report.
    • in one-day site visits conducted by the Charter School Office (years 2 and 3).
    • at renewal inspection following submission of application for renewal.

Guidelines

  1. Be realistic yet rigorous.
