Other Funding - $1.02 Billion

Other Education funding provided in ARRA include:

• $650M - Education Technology State Grants - States must use 25% of stimulus funds distributed under this program for professional development to improve teaching and learning to increase student achievement and technology literacy  (criteria and priorities TBD)
• $200M - Teacher Incentive Fund - competively awarded in Fall 2009  (criteria and priorities TBD)
• $100M - Impact Aid Construction
• $70M - McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance

Facilities Funding - $54 Billion

Charter Schools will also be able to tap into the $54 billion included in the ARRA for the New Markets Tax Credit, Recovery Zone Boards, Qualified School Construction Bonds, and Qualified Zone Academy Bonds (QZAB’s).
